We are pleased to announce our office Alzheimer’s Research UK donation tin has now reached in excess of £117.
Organised by pest control technician Christopher Summers, the collection tin will remain in the office until the end of the year. We are therefore asking anyone with spare change (or notes!) to make sure they pop it in the box.
Alzheimer’s is a progressive brain disease that gradually spreads, causing greater damage and removing cognitive abilities. It is the most common cause of dementia, currently affecting over 520,000 people in the UK.
Founded in 1992, Alzheimer’s Research UK is the country’s leading dementia research charity. They are dedicated to the causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure of Alzheimer’s Disease and aim is to have the world’s first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025.
Christopher: “Alzheimer’s is a horrible disease that brings fear and heartbreak to families all over the country, so I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at Cleankill for helping us to raising this money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
“I’d especially like to thank John King for rattling the tin so effectively at our recent company conference. His innovative approaches included fines for members of staff who reply to all users when a simple reply to sender is sufficient and a £1 fine for anyone using the R…word! (R*****ill).
“The generosity shown to this important charity is, once again, a clear demonstration of Cleankill’s community spirit.”
At the end of 2022, Cleankill raised £200 for Alzheimer's Research UK on Christmas Jumper Day.
