Cleankill Pest Control’s Managing Director Paul Bates is now on the Advisory Panel for ARMA – The Association of Residential Management Agents.
Founded in 1991, ARMA is the leading trade association for residential leasehold management. Its guiding principles call for the raising of standards across the sector. To achieve this, it sets strict membership standards for its members, provides technical advice and guidance, offers training courses on the leasehold system, promotes professionalism, and campaigns for improvements in legislation and policy.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Bates expressed his delight at being asked to join the ARMA Advisory Panel: “This is a real honour for both me and Cleankill. As a company, we work very closely with property and facility management firms across the whole of the South East of England. We are keenly aware of the challenges residential leasehold managers face on a day-to-day basis and this will be a great opportunity for us to help them understand the latest developments in pest control techniques and legislation. In turn, residential managers will have the tools they need to deal with their clients from a position of knowledge.”
Cleankill can offer residential leasehold managers a unique perspective on raising standards. Following the Grenfell Tower disaster, Paul noted that pest controllers often get the see the areas of residential blocks that most people avoid. In this capacity, Cleankill has often reported to management teams examples of careless behaviour that could potentially lead to fatal accidents. It is important that all tradespeople working in these compartmentalised environments are aware of the dangers and work together to make them safe.
Cleankill began its association with ARMA in 2017, when it sponsored the ‘Customer Service’ award at the inaugural ARMA Ace Awards. At the same ceremony, Cleankill were also named ‘Service Provider of the Year’.
Based in Croydon and Seaford, Cleankill Pest Control has been providing pest control services to London and the South East since 1995.
